okay guys in madaras fight against hashi, he could have been beatin the crap out of hashi, then hashi said, " yuo are just overpowerin me, so i give up"
he could have said this because he knew that if he had not given up and gave madara a special gift(dna), the whole village could have been under tyranny, so if he gave the dna then madara could leave.

so technically hashiram could have known about the rinnegan the whole time
