He used all the sharingan on his arm and couldn't use kotoametsukami; however, shisui's sharingan is still a sharingan and could be used one last time for izanagi to survive. He used the 4 seal explosion thing to make Sasuke and tobi leave out of fear of death but if he used izanagi for a minute he could've survived the explosion and tobi and Sasuke would be gone so he'd escape them. I know the hashi cells on his arm were acting up but he still had them. And if Karin survived being pierced through the heart then so could danzo. He had plenty of shinobi that could heal him around that area probably if he was found in enough time. This is just a theory that he could still be alive and how he'd survive.
