The son of a hero who becomes a villain is not an innovation (look at Kylo Ren, for example).
Boruto is almost ignored by his father and seeks unlimited power, that reminds me to another person: his new sensei Sasuke Uchiha.
Also, he's quite naive and eager to win at any cost, cheating in the CE even if his father himself told him to not use that Kote. This also reminds me of someone who betrayed everyone relying to evil individuals in order to gain a huge power for his vengeance.
Lastly, the headband he wore during the fight with Momoshiki. I know that it is casual and he couldn't wear another, but it also could be a signal that Boruto will not become a little Naruto.

That was solved in Boruto movie. Sarada has a better chance at going Evil like Her father did. The Uchiha curse.

Nah, it's no point. Only Sasuke was the closest to not being redeemed. :(

But when he redeemed he became the pure essence of awesomeness. Seems that the harder it takes to redeem one, the better he becomes after his redemption

Only if she witnesses her mother and father dying she just awakened part of her sharingan through joy/love

Kishimoto is not keen on making Main Characters evil, not even Sasuke was evil. He labeled him as pure.

Plus, the whole conflict in your OP is dealt with. He presumably made up with his father, unlike Kylo, and he has no reasons to follow in such a path for power. Though Kishimoto wanted to say he could surpass his father, so I can see where that statement draws temptation for him to learn more and grow stronger. We will see.

And that goes for Sarada too. She's too inside the Will of Fire to be swayed. The Curse of Hatred doesn't exist anymore, I don't understand why people are arguing that an Uchiha would succumb to it now. Especially when the newest Uchiha activated her Sharingan from love. But meh.

The only logical person who could succumb to evil would be Mitsuki, if and only if Orochimaru is evil. There would be some sort of picking at the sides, and obviously he would go with his father, because he's a little dweeb who can't think for himself. Daddy is always right (I'm being sarcastic, at least the part about him being a dweeb).

The villain for the next series is most likely a new person, I think. That or Orochimaru.

S/N; He would suck as a villain anyway. Bolt has no real motivation to go that way.

If it was up to me and I had to choose (Just going to jump an idea from my head).

Imagine if Otsutsuki captured him, and they took him for some sort of sensing of potential power he has. Naruto and Sasuke fail to save him, and they can't locate him. For the next few years Bolt is being tortured, brainwashed, and etc. While this is happening, he's praying for his father, the hero, and his Master, his ideal, to save him. By the time he gives up on both of them, their brainwashing is complete, and he's basically their human puppet. They train him, and a time skip happens where he's basically an Adult (probably around 16-8ish). And wa-la, a half assed villain to be.

Basically a new Obito so :D but such villains need one chapter or two to be brought on the rigt path, generally.
I don't think that Orochimaru would fit as a villain this time. In the end of Shippuden it felt like he turned good as well as Kabuto, and anyway now is way too weak to do something, Naruto and Sasuke would shatter him apart in a mere instant. Mitsuki feels like the brain of the team but he really isn't ambitious as Sasuke was at his age, he feels more kindhearted and less arrogant. Also, manga needs to explain why he's so similar to an Otsutsuki, and specially why he looks like a little Toneri.. Ah and I have also a feeling that Toneri will not be forgotten forever, because Kishi does never leave his character without a setup, especially such powerful beings.

Boruto just pull out the Itachi love card or do Shusui thing with Sarada to help her get more power to be Hokage an then mention hey if I'm dead just rez me by Edo Tenshi or steal your papa rinnegan an do life restoration thing on me ok..lol

boruto was just playful kid.. being ninja wasn't a thing until later on when this old man become hokage.. need to be shinobi to get some attention but then it wasn't that important at all it was just another game to him.

boruto can be evil or anti hero... just scheme for long time like Orochimaru ..

sarada can do naruto an chase after boruto to bring him back to the village..

could be boruto get left for dead an seek revenge... have an nagato moment.. go crazy with power ... form akatsuki group lol..

Nope, at all costs I can never see Naruto's son becoming evil. He doesn't have that darkness to him and is not jealous of anyone to even leave the village. He probably will join the Anbu.
