Sakura Haruno
Sakura would be pretty much the sidekick of Shizune throughout the entire series. She would have remained in Konoha the entire time, as a standard operating medical ninja. This means we would only have to hear her cry about Sasuke/Naruto during scenes that pertain to a hospital. She would not be a fighter at all . I understand that Kishi is trying to display medical ninja can be combat effective, but Tsunade is more then enough to provide that aspect to us.
Sai
Sai would have been the third member to team 7, and introduced in part one as a FEMALE! Everyone would mistake her for a boy with a short cut...but really it would have been a girl with a flat chest. He's passable for this type of role quite honestly since he doesn't consistently resemble any one gender.
It conflicts the plot, but that part can be worked around the changes lol. Hell as long as Sakura is stuck in Konoha for the whole series I say win. Ignore my overactive imagination.
