Well we soon gonna know who tobi is, so lemme just come out and say what iv been thinking, but didnt cause 'no flaming'. I think tobi is ***aku, reasons
He has an unusual love for sasuke
Knows itachi well enough to fear him
Originally the head of the planning commitee for the coup
As sasuke's dad, he was never exagerated on, unlike the flash or white fang, but magically was the head of the uchiah, @ a period where genuises like itachi and shishu were alive.
Now lemme give you reasons why i dont think tobi is izuna or obito, first izuna, correct me if im wrong but izuna is madara's brother right, and everybody knows that the legend states that madara and izuna were feared as leaders of the uchiah, its sorta like hashi and tobirama, hashi is well known but nobody takes anything away from tobirama, if tobi was izuna, there really should be no need for the identity crises, but ***aku was not known for shit, imagine if he went to the sumit and said he was ***aku, nobobdy would even take him seriously
As for obito, its simple really, obito and kakashi are of the same age group, but when tobi attacked konoha he attacked as a man,while kakashi was still in his teen years.
PS- i still think izuna is a good option, just pointing some thing out
