I'm sure everyone has at least woundered what Minato's jutsu was. Most think it's a FTG rasnengan variant. However, I don't think so.
Here's the literal English translation from Narutopedia.
"Spiralling Flash Super Round Dance Howl Participate Formula "
Ransengan's literal English translation is "Spiraling Sphere"
So Ransen is not an indicator that it's a ransengan variant, but rather, it's circular in nature. Take a look at the preparations.
The fact that he threw 6 kunai implies that he's forming a parameter around his opponent hence "ransen" which is "spiral."
Note that he did not form a ransengan, but rather, had a kunai in his hand. I suspect that the 6 kunais enables Minato to teleport anywhere within that area instantly and freely, essentially giving him infinite combat speed for a continuous hit-and run. Hence "flash dance" and "formula" which signifies FTG.
We've seen that Minato has used space-time connected to his kunai via space-time barrier.
Why does putting the kunai in front of him matter? I suspect that, for this jutsu, he can somehow use space-time to increase his cutting potential as well.
Before you say that I'm making crap up, think about it. What makes Minato's kunai so powerful?
Note, it not only nearly cut Bee's tail completely off, but Ay says "sorry Bee." Why would he say that and why did Bee knock him away when all that was done was that Minato was on top of him with a kunai? This implies that Minato could have killed Ay with nothing more than his kunai or at least hurt him. However, not even Sasuke's sword enhanced by chidori stream could do anything to lightning armor.
Sasuke's enhanced sword did absolutely nothing while Minato's kunai was a threat. Minato's kunai are obviously not ordinary kunai and it's not just weight. In case you're wondering why Minato's kunai was easily destroyed if this was the case, it's because of omnyonton, and Minato wasn't using senjutsu.
I think this technique is hax. He said that it could create an opening against Juubito.
This was after Minato saw his lightning-fast reactions and tanked this.
So either A. It's like, the fastest attack in the manga when it's set up.
B. An extremely powerful attack, or
C. all of the above.
Personally I think it's C since he's been hyped as the strongest shinobi in his day, and there were powerful jinchuriki (Bee), so he had to have the capabilities to fight biju.
Your thoughts?
