What I Think Kara's Goal With "The Vessel" May Be

My guess on the vessel is that it is potentially the key to entering the Otsutsuki home world. We already know the Otsutsuki can travel through dimensions. Maybe Kara is some kind of cult and is dedicating all there time and resources to trying to access the main Otsutsuki world that is hidden in some distant and hard to access dimension. They need to create a key to opening a portal to the world and it is only through the so called vessel that they can do so. It is kind of like how Aizen was trying to create a key to reach the soul king. Why Kara wants to get to the Otsutsuki home world, who knows but this is a very common trope in fiction.
