Sasuke and Naruto...No, really. I feel like if they weren't in love with these guys they probably would have been better. Like Kishimoto did as if these girl needed these guys.

-Sakura couldn't fully function in front of Sasuke for the most part.
-Hinata couldn't fully function or wouldn't be able to fully function if Naruto wasn't around or was to die(referring to when the ninetails was removed from Naruto and how Hinata fell on the ground in despair).

I see some people in the Nardo fandom praising them for being strong women for being with Naruto and Sasuke but that's not what makes them strong(not calling them weak) but what's wrong with them being strong without these guys? Like some people legit tried to drag me for saying this stuff but really I honestly think that their love for these two guys killed some of their development...beside the fact that Kishimoto can't write females. I even see some Hinata fans and Sakura fans or NaruHina and SasuSaku fans fuss about how this love is good or how it helped the characters like this is some type of badge of honor. Some of these people aren't even fans of Sakura or Hinata. Some of them are Naruto fans,Sasuke fans, or pairing fans.

The last good development Sakura had was during her fight with sasori and that was meh. Hinata is a shitty character in all honestly. I mean both are shitty but f*ck it.

Nope Hinata jump down to vs Pain
Hinata slap Naruto out of being corrupted and save the world

Lets replace Sasuke and Sakura. Sakura is still crying vs Pain
Sakura will follow Sasuke after he is being corrupted.

This is a perfect example of what my post is talking about.

I mean, yeah. But without Sasuke, we have nothing to go on as to why Sakura wanted to be a ninja in the first place, really. Ino-Shika-Cho are from prestigious clans, as is Hinata, as is Kiba, as is Shino, as is Neji, as is Sasuke. Naruto wanted to prove himself. Her rivalry with Ino is a little too mixed with the Sasuke stuff; I don't remember if it's even distinct at all from Sasuke stuff.

Sakura was f*cked for development from the get-go. You'd have to go back and give her a reason to want to be a ninja outside of wanting to be closer to Sasuke. Obviously afterwards she realized she wanted to help keep them alive and not be a burden.

Also, Hinata's development isn't entirely overshadowed by her love for Naruto. Her being shy and unconfident has to do with her upbringing by Hiashi and the pressure of having been the heiress, as well as having been passed over for her younger sibling. CE has as much to do with her overcoming that as it does with her wanting to prove herself to Naruto. It's not just her being infatuated with him.

So, while it is true that the love crap diminished their development, it is true that they're not really in the same place. Hinata had goals she needed to be working towards irrespective of her love-thing with Naruto; Sakura didn't. But weirdly, they have a reverse development; Sakura starts to get things aside from her love for Sasuke in her development (believing in Naruto's dream, wanting to be strong on her own); Hinata starts to focus more on her love for Naruto.

Sakura actually could function in front of Sasuke, Sasuke got jealous of her fast learning ability, so Kishi decided to ignore her developement because she would become to powerful at that point in time, possibly rivaling Kakashi.

Had Sakura developed.
She would've beat the crap out of NAruto and Sasuke for fighting.
Sasuke would've probably never had turned evil, because she would be his rival, and Kishi said that he had feelings for Sakura back then too.

Yea Sakura motive to being a ninja was stupid but than she wanted to help but Kishimoto shitted on that. Than Hinata was getting crap from her dad which would have been a good way to develop her in a way to prove her dad wrong and make her strong...but nope Kishimoto shitted on that too. Apparently **** strong and developed women they need some guys to make them feel "complete"

Hinata has solved the problem with her dad :lol
She is a side character that has very limited screen, so it was understandable if her plot is tied with Naruto

I think Neji actually stole some of Hinata's development xD

I don't know didn't Kishimoto push Neji and most of the well developed sides in the back in shippuden?

Right, but Hiashi accepting Neji and offering to train him was like a thing. Could have had something similar with Hinata getting more responsibilities as Hiashi recognizes her progress, or something. Hiashi never really even got to witness Hinata's performance, since she was stuck in prelims.

Yea,I just would have loved for Hinata to fully prove herself to her dad and show that she is a strong heir regardless of her shyness over the whole focus mainly on Naruto. Because that would have been amazing. Also I didn't mind Sakura stupid start but I wish Kishimoto would have continue with the "I want to be strong too" think instead of what happened in the last few chapters of Naruto and though the manga...Like she could have started off like a silly immature girl who wanted Sasuke but started to get serious about being strong but Kishimoto didn't want that....

I don't think thats it. Kishimoto can't write female characters regardless of who they are in love with. I'm pretty sure if they weren't so involved with Naruto and Sasuke then Kishimoto would've almost ignored them all together.

It's not their love for these main characters that stunted their character development it's simply Kishimoto not giving female characters the time of day like he does with the male characters.

For instance, Sakura was is our heroine... Shouldn't there have been AT LEAST ONE arc dedicated to her growth? Shouldn't we have seen her training like we did with Naruto? Shouldn't have have had more than ONE major fight? Sakura was our heroine and Kishimoto threw her bread crumbs.

Kishimoto can't write female characters period. To put blame on the fact on Naruto and Sasuke is kind of iffy in my opinion. With or without them they would have been underdeveloped.

I think I mentioned something like that in my original post and I used the word probably because they probably still would have had horrible development and I'm not blaming Sasuke and Naruto. I'm saying that was part of Sakura and Hinata development down fall that Kishimoto did.

Hinata compliments Naruto and acts like his stabilizer when he goes astray

She also had him as an inspiration and used it to benefit herself

Sakura had a crush on the most popular guy in school and then later obsessed over the few months he was in a team with her and eventually demanded him to be with her

Naruto was the stabilizer for Sasuke. Sakura did nothing at all.

Perhaps but it's pretty clear that Sakura being tied to Sasuke and Hinata to Naruto that it gave them more importance. Look at Ino, she was Sakura's companion...And look at how much Kishimoto did for her? If anything I think them being in love did them more good for screentime and importance..especially Hinata being side character and all. As annoying and sexist as it is to say but it's kinda the truth

And Hinata didn't obsess over Naruto? Oh please. This is what I mean by some people wearing this stuff with a badge of honor. Naruto was like her sole motivation with the exception of Neji sometimes. I wanted to see her motivated without Nardo.

I said Hinata used her love for Naruto for motivation

a role model... I did not refute the fact that she solely thought about him

I also stated that by making Naruto a role model of some sort she was able to literally slap him back in shape if he wavered

a relationship is that both sides benefit the other..... Sakura's love was more one sided

Both NaruHina and SasuSaku were onesided until like 698 and the last. Though I admit a little NaruHina was better than SasuSaku after they happened. I honestly didn't think Sakura and Sasuke should have been a thing. She could have been single or with Lee or something.
