your are entirely correct and the reason i think is he expected his brothers to die so even tho they died it didnt hit him at home because he didnt let it he know his family would die

his friendship with hashi tho he treasured and trully belived in so when he lost it it was like losingh is dreams

I dont think so, I think Madara was doing the same as Obito which is: to brag about having the potential to get the Sharingan, Madara knew that if he was to rival hashirama he needed the sharingan, in other words: Madara was all talk until he broke his bond with Hashirama and their dream.
