Naruto Part III seems to have a lot of potential! The Boruto movie already looks awesome! That said, there are some things that I really would like to see happen and what I hope won't happen (but will probably happen anyway) in both the manga spin-off and the movie.
First I hope that we get to see Boruto use the Byakugan. That would be just as awesome as Sarada using the Sharingan and it would be a sincere disappointment if Boruto did not have the Byakugan.
Second, I would like to see Boruto use some of the Tailed Beasts chakra. People seem to forget that Naruto did no just have Kurama inside of him, but the chakra of every other Bijuu inside of him as well by the time he fought Sasuke. Sasuke even stated that that was one of his motives to kill Naruto. That said, there had to have been some Bijuu chakra that got inside of both Boruto and Himawari. I hope we get to see this.
Third, I hope we get to see the older generations, I.E. Naruto have a lot of screen time as well. Naruto is Hokage and that would be a waste not to see what he is truly capable of as a full adult. I hope we get to see a fight like Hiruzen vs. Orochimaru in this sense.
Fourth, I hope that we won't have Inojin and Shikadai be carbon copies of their fathers. I can't stress that one enough. Especially with Inojin, I hope he has more personality than his father Sai for crying out loud.
Fifth, despite it being somewhat hinted in chapter 700, I hope Sarada isn't like Hinata or Sakura entirely in the sense of having for the most part one goal which is to get with Boruto. In chapter 700, we saw Sarada pull a Hinata and I hope in Part III, we won't have more of that drama.
Sixth, I do hope to see the return of Orochimaru and Kabuto! Who doesn't.
Finally, I hope that BoruSara doesn't happen in Part III, because if it does so help me god I am going to throw a worse fit than when NaruHina, SasuSaku and InoSai happened. But it will probably happen anyway. *sigh*
Not saying that I wouldn't have done the same thing if NaruSaku happened, which I would have because I dislike pairings in general. I wish that the ending of Part II would have had not pairings and would have been a vague and open ending for the most part.
Which bring me to my last point, In truth I am fine with BoruSara happening as long as it happens either in the Boruto movie or sometime after that. (There is a drawing by Kishi that depicts either Naruto or his son as an old man so there will be something after the Boruto movie, that's for sure) Boruto and Sarada seem to fit each other perfectly as a couple as far as I can tell and BoruSara is essentially NaruSaku reincarnated. So this is the closest thing that the NaruSaku or even SasuNaru fans are going to get when it comes to the pairings they liked.
So that pretty much sums it up. I hope all that I said happens in both the manga spin off and the upcoming movie. Both have a lot of potential, but at the same time it could easily turn out to be the GT of Natuto, which we all do not want!
