Then I get infracted for obviously mocking one's statement by putting in bold (still in the quote tag) and saying "Ha-hahaha-haha!".

To clear out 98% of all the of the worthless bullshit here, you'd only need to make sure the forum faggotry -or was that; forum games- section doesn't add to your post count. Christ, people with over 30K posts while this forum isn't even that old. Even the GFX section suffers from brainless posts like 'o dood i rlly like wut u maed cuz u maek it haha'.

And also, it appears that intelligence on this forum is either lower than SI's or everybody is just too busy adding to their post count to look better on this forum than to add their opinion ITT. Guys, I really love the banner, I'm digging the content, humping the activity and I'm caressing the skin, the boards, the pretty awesome systems like a gift system, medals, awards, 150x150 avatars, the fact that whatever one posts is a speech bubble and all of these fancy things, but for God's sakes pay attention. This forum can be one of the greatest ones. It can top NaruFanForums. It has a lot of potential and the staff seems to take things seriously even when they are clearly understaffed (took them 6 hours to delete my flaming) but holy mother of Christ get those brainless morons out of here. Do NOT want! Everyone with half a brain knows what this forum can become -one of the best Naruto forums that can be found- and what is has become -a forum where you don't need to THINK before you POST SHIT in a meaningless thread-.

Fix this. Please. Get some more staff, get sections mods, get a lot of those fancy moderators and make things right. I've seen a lot of people with the maturity and intelligence to become a staff member and rid this place of its many moronic webspace-wasters.

I thank you for obviously caring about this forum, i personally love this place and yes i cant really say that i like how things are atm, we have a lot of members but ..i?ll take quality over quantity anytime, from my part i will do everything possible to remedy this situation u can be sure of that, we are aware of the situation of being understaffed and we are working on that ^^

You could also "test" people by giving them a section mod position. Not too much power etc.

I get what you mean completely. We know we are under staffed and action is going to be taken -maybe even today- as from my latest visits in the manga section i am completely disappointed in some people and i have talked about it with Versuvio.
You have to understand though, that even being just 4 of us here we have done our best so far. All smods (Bianca, Nexus and I) are currently working, I am posting this from my office atm and at the same time i am cleaning up the manga section again. By working hard we have brought a revolution in the RP system and we can brag about it in my opinion, since other forums are copying our Missions and Battle system, our training grounds have never been more organized than they are now and the battle arena is looking at least fairest. I am not saying that it's the best, i am saying it's better now.
As you can understand from this, we are really working hard in here, and none of us likes infracting and banning people. It's just something we don't wanna do, but we are forced to.
Also what Bianca said is true, most members do not report spam. So we have to go through every single post of every single page to make sure they are clean. And you know from your moderator's position elsewhere that this is not an easy thing to do.
And then, when you do your job well you get cussed. I really dislike that, a moron is b* around at me through pms telling me to go you-know-where, even made a public thread about it, cause I gave him one infraction. And although everyone can agree that he is just plain stupid, still i don't like it. what should i do? ban again? It's not something i want to do.
Telling you this, cause NB is a big forum but still being only 4 mods we have managed to really know each other well. To be a community rather than just a plain forum. I like that fact, but it has disadvantages also like the one i mentioned before.
Certainly more mods are needed and that will happen very fast, i for once thank you also for caring for NB and i am always open to suggestions and nice non-flaming discussions like this one. You have an idea? Just pm it to me, i assure you i will read it and if i agree with it, talk to the others about it. And more fancy things will be added also like the gifts system, i'm working on that too

I get what you mean when you say that you're doing some work from the office because I tend to do the same once in a while. What you guys need to do is moderate more strictly. See a member who keeps being off-topic, trolls, insults and even spams like a crazy monkey with 70 bananas in it's hands? No need to infract every single time. We've all agreed to the rules upon clicking 'register', we've all had the time to take a good long look at them. If you notice a member keeps doing it, ban him or her for an extended period of time. 1 day isn't much. It helps, I cooled off in that period and got to think. But that's about it. Not everyone starts to think when he's banned. Ban someone for 5 days. Not helping at all? Try 10 days. If that doesn't help, keep making the ban longer until you have no other option but to get your PERMABANstamp and get that fool out of here.

Be strict, be proud. First thing I noticed on this forum was (yup) the RP section. Never in my entire time of being on forums -I've been on A LOT- of forums- have I seen such an extensive, organized and well-made RP section. The ideas are fresh and original, attacks, characters, everything. You excel in this. I'm everything but a RPer. I suck at it, I don't get a single word of it. But I love it. I love the fact that when I enter my GFXing work I get an immediate response. I don't have to wait hours for someone to reply on a thread. That's awesome. The activity is excellent. But there are a few rotten apples here and there.

If I were to be a judge and I only would have to judge the skin and functionality, I'd give this place a solid 9'5/10. But if I were to be a judge that should also check on everything, I'd give it an 8. Take away the spammers and Jesus holy shit, this place gets a 10. All you guys would need is some new smileys, too. Some from DeviantART, you know what I mean?

Now all that I can say is that I've been trying to report a few posts, but I can't. I have to wait 60 seconds and I really can't wait 60 seconds, because in that time two new spam posts have been made. I can't get there in time. Tell ya what, I'll start to look around here and there, and PM you a few names of people that I, myself find worthy of being a section moderator/moderator. That oughta help, right?

Also I know what you're going trough. I'm a staff member on a few forums too and it is hard to be everywhere. Especially when you have to take care of over 20000 members while you only have three friends to help you out. Anyways I'll PM my suggestions later. Just be more strict. It helps.

The mods do what they can, we can't expect more of them. They are indeed with not much people to handle a forum this big, but it's up to the big V to appoint new staff members.

Nothing is perfect from the beginning. You can compare the forum to an iron sword, you need to keep hamering for a long period of time, heating it up and cooling it down before it's a solid thrustworthy sword. The mods are doing their best, the forum gets better every day. Eventhough there are always some people who break the rules, globa seen this forum is very "clean" if you would compare it to other forums I've seen.

And with the help of normal members everything gets even better. I inform most of the time a mod when I see someone spams or a thread is misplaced and I'm not the only person who does this.

Well, in SI, They have less members but they handle things right, you don't sense presence of trouble there, it rarely happens, no one bitches in everything, and even members help the staff in most of things like contests, most of them are setted by members helping the forums, and they make sure everything is right, and they do everything on time, here some contests are just DEAD! like profile and amv contests =\, and do I insult everyone who works hard? I mean I have the right and freedom to say eveything I want as a comment in SI and they take it as Constructive Comment, here just saying one thing bad and WOOT! attacked by everyone in the thread -___-, I bet almost everyone reports my posts, now even you think that I insult people's work! -_-
