[Discussion] what has happened to fairy tail

Does anyone else feel Fairy tail has lost its edge since coming back, its not the same as it used to be. I'm not saying it has become crap but compared to before there isn't the excitement it used too have.

and Im a anime only viewer, I dont read the manga

Well I always thought the tournament arc wasn't the greatest but it's still somewhat enjoyable imo. I kinda feel the way you're feeling too though. But read the manga, the current tartarus arc is awesome.

I dropped Fairy tail so hard, there is no real plot, and fanservice was affecting that horrible plot.. 1 could call it Kishimoto level.

Well the grand magic games in general are not the best arc or even too entertaining to me, seemed like a lot of wasted potential. Although the openings for the 2014 version don't seem as good as the older ones, but I'm just glad the anime is still going.

Personally I'm loving it.

FT is in my top 5 fav mangas.

I do wish they had kept the same animation style as before though.

Fairy Tail's fights I usually don't care about. The plot is what I really like about Fairy Tail

Hmmm no. I admit though that I was so grossed up in the GMG-arc that it felt kinda weird in the arc succeeding it, however that disappeared after the Tartaros arc began.

I must agree that the new animation to me also does not match the previous version, but the story at least is good.

You're saying there's no plot but you call its plot horrible which means you see the plot. C'mon! Make up your mind!
