Spider man 4 was never meant to happen. This is the new Spider man reboot, with a totally new cast and crew. The old makers have nothing to do with this film.

What, Ultimate Spider-Man is going to be way better then the Maguire Movies. They had nothing to do with the original franchise.

Even though most fans were disappointed with Spider-Man 3, it was an enormous box office success, and Sony green-lit Spider-Man 4 not long after 3‘s release.

Raimi wanted the villain this time out to be the Lizard, while the studio wanted John Malkovich as Vulture. Tobey Maguire and Kirstin Dunst were set to reprise their roles as well, and development was in full swing when Raimi backed out, citing creative differences with the studio.

Afterwards, Marc Webb was brought in to restart the franchise anew, and he chose Andrew Garfield as his Spider-Man.

I don't like the actors and I grew up with the Spidey Moves so I'm biased of course, but I'm glad they're sticking closer to the comic, using my favorite girl Black Cat, and using Lizard who's awesome. It looks badass and I'll see it.

When I first heard of it and saw the first trailer, I hated it alot. Then the second trailer and reading people's opinions and thinking about it made me hate it less. Now, I'm well, here.

THEY DIDN'T GET RID OF ANYONE, Who would watch a REBOOT of the ORIGINAL Series with the OLD ACTORS from the Series that had nothing to do with the Comic? That's retarded, of course they would choose new actors or would you like to see Tobey Maguire to turn into Spider-Man again? + He's freaking old, he can't play the role of a High School Boy anymore. As much as I like him, I wouldn't.

The new Spider Man film is an entire reboot from the original film adaption. This one will follow the true story of Spider Man and the comics a little bit more closely than Spider-Man 1, 2, and 3....yep. That sounds about right.
