[Discussion] What has changed?

It is again that I find myself in the position of asking what has caused this change in the environment here on NB. I am sure some can be attributed to the change in the forum design but this has become quite a drastic change from what I remember so clearly. Just a while ago I was a witness to a rampage of useless, pointless threads that seem to give the illusion that this site is spiraling into a decline. I see little interaction happening in my opinion and even more so in the RP section. Maybe it is just me and no one has noticed this change.

I remember much about this site's infancy and have seen its progress up till now. I admire the hard work that goes behind the scenes and the work we see by our own members who stand up for the greater good despite it being less than mainstream. I encourage all of you to report troll threads (within reason) instead of being a part of the spectators like I have. I regret that I have followed but in it I have seen that there is a somewhat a tension about. I have seen some friends, colleagues, and people I look up to, dropping out of some of the activities that drive this site.

Please don't leave. Stay. If there is anything that I can do to change your mind let me know. Without you guys this site is a little less sunny. Whether you accept it or not, you are all important and vital to the growth of this site. Don't give up and strive to do the best you can amongst each other and those you don't know.

Well for one I wasn't talking about the manga. Second, I prefer to add to the conversation rather than make some cheap theory which, for all of us who have been here a while, know that it has been done before. I was more or less referring to there being a shift in respect on this site. We have traded reason for stupidity. In that there seems to be more people with foul attitudes than those who show respect. And I know that, in some cases, is not easily given.

I fall victim to my own actions. And I made a few mistakes. I don't mind being here. I don't understand how reporting is gonna do anything. I love this base. First forum I ever join. Just gotta deal with people that are different. I don't mind reading opposing comments or hate mails. It's going to happen everyday. And the fact that your concern is touching. But I don't see any brightside. If anything I'll stop making threads and continue commenting. I'll come up with better threads and continue reading the manga. If anything i'll keep going.

Ever since the forum got drastically changed I quit.

There has been a lot more trolls lately, and a lack of any interesting theards, and the people that do coment don't make it interesting at all. They say yup or I agree or someone actually comments well and they say this and point up, or they write search bar.

I have seen a lot more trolls lately, probably because the manga has started to get boring, therefore people have got bored. people + boredom = terrifying troll transformation.

I am sure there is a wealth of theories or conjectures out there but what makes a thread a thread is when people actually have something to say. I think we need to inspire each other and get the ball rollin'.

I've been seeing people say the sites been changing for years. Seems about the same to me (outside of RP, which is constantly changing).

Hum... personaly though Im sort of new, there does seem to be a lack of intresting threads. I'll only read like maybe 1 thats intresting after reading 10 or 20...... Also noticed the trolls.... Im over time I'll notice a bit more.

And you assume all 2012 members, are the reason this base is the way it is? some maybe but not all. I been here for around 9 months and haven't gotten a single infraction. Maybe warnings and that's because at times, I forget basic rules which I later on regret.
Either way, the reason it's going downhill is because most people on the base are either under 18 or just act like morons. It's easier to act tough and mighty when you know you can avoid being punched, like most trolls act or those who feel the need to argue about subjects with close minded minds.

Lets not forget that the trolls like making alt accounts just to mess with people.
I no longer argue with them, I simply report which most of the members should do. I see no point in wasting time replying to a thread that will get removed later on by a mod.

I wish some of the older members were back,but there all over OPB.​

NarutoBase used to be epic forum, you can scan old threads... actually trolls used to be much more fun though. And what you said about OPB it's all for a reason and mostly for a live chat :3

I know..When I joined, they were still showing themselves around. It wasn't till a few months ago that people started to leave..I got a chance to see Hellbadass in action here. I don't like OP, it makes me wish I did. I just hope mods turn this site into a fairytail-base after naruto is over. It would be epic!
