not..really. the flames don't come "out" of the eye. the eye creates them out of thin air. so that keeps the eye from burning.

lool.... i dont think it can travel thousands of miles everytime he uses it,its like a couple of metres long but i guess this in tha air so it wouldn't be a line.I guess he cant hit a target thousands of miles away?

i doubt it says Ameterasu if fire from Sun. But ''ameterasu'' means something related to Sun (in japanies myth), but i won't write/say it. U find if by urself xd

I suppose he can but it won't be effective cause will jst be a spec of a flame on the moons surface tht will eventually disappear, cause no oxygen(oxygen is a product tht creats fire). Another thing, i very much doubt he will get the idea to burn the moon 'cause the moon is one of itachi-san's trademarks through tsukyomi. Nd you know how tsukyomi is his fave ability in his arsenal xd
