What happens to chakra when Shinobi die?

So all chakra used to belong to the God Tree and Kaguya is trying to suck out everyone elses chakra in order to become "one" again.

So what happens to chakra when the shinobi just die? Does it vanish and never to cycle again or does it return to Shinju?


Say if when a persons dies their chakra returns to Shinju. Then what happened to dead chakra before the God Tree was resurrected?

The body stops creating chakra and the chakra that was already in the body when they die most likely slowly diminishes overtime.

So my point would be then, if chakra is lost when people die then Kaguya can never become "one" again since that would require all chakra, not just the majority.

Yet she said that's her plan. To get back all chakra.
