There are few animes where the creator had died like Kaze no stigma, the anime stopped where the creator left it. In Naruto's case, since its popular maybe there's someone who will take over but still no one can beat the original.

But if it does, I think that the manga is close enough to finish anyway that Kishi has a rough draft of what will happen eventually so most likely another writer will come in and finish it (DBZ writer?)
