i'm wondering what would happen if an asteroid this big really hit earth

the first thing that would happen is that a lot of oxygen would be consumed and so there would be less oxygen in the envoriment than in our lungs. let me make it clearer

*le mad paint drawning skillz
as you see our hispanic bald guy is having issues with the difference between air pressure in the lungs and in the air

what would be a consequence of such lack of balance?

For one, an asteroid that big could possibly destroy the earth. Breathing wouldn't be an issue for ya at this point. Second of all, the asteroid would most likely disrupt the ring of fire causing most if not all volcanoes to erupt, thus clouding earth with ash and destroying all life. Thirdly, it could disrupt the magnetic field protecting the earth and we'd be exposed to solar radiation and it will incinerate us all.
