What happens if mystic gohan goes ssj?

Before you answer read this.

In BOG when Gohan goes to fight bills he does it with his mystic form (no ss) and after when they are trying to make Goku a SSG he transforms into a SS to give "light" to goku's heart.

So here's my question:

In the BUU saga:

Could gohan go SS all the time? If he did, would his power have increased at all? Since his mystic form is supposed to bring out all his hiden potential, going ss shouldn't change his power level not a single bit, and just drain his Ki faster.

But when he is fighting Buu, gohan says "i don't need to" (go super saiyan) and piccolo says "he has this power and he hasn't even transformed into a super saiyan" meaning in fact he can go super saiyan.

So:

-O1: Mystic Gohan can go ss but it wouldn't increase his power, since his mystic form brings out all his potential

-O2: Mystic Gohan can go ssj and become even stronger but he didn't do it against Boo because Akira is a troll

Don't say mystic gohan can't go super saiyan because its a fact that he can

I say number 2. His Mystic power was able to defeat Buu until Buu absorbed Piccolo and Goten. I guess Gohan changing to Super Sayain made no difference in the power scale as Buu became powerful than him.

I don't know, Akira is a troll. The supreme kai asked Gohan to go super saiyan and when he did he was in mystic form so he can't go SS.

So my answer is that he has the ability to change his hair colour when he goes mystic (no power boost). Must be an exclusive perk..

If Mystic Gohan turned Super Saiyan, he'd become Ultimate Gohan.

Old Supreme Kai only brought out Gohan hidden potential. Super Sayain is just a boost and has nothing to do with his potential.

Gohan's mystic form brings out all of his potential, meaning the power from all his other forms and more. If he went super saiyan it would make him weaker and drain his ki way faster

I had always theorized that SSj is really just a potential booster. It'll just release the inhibitors your body places on your energy. Mystic Gohan had his potential fully awakened, thus SSJ became obsolete. Since Gohan hadn't trained all those years later, his potential was decreased and he was able to become a SSJ again unlike if he kept training.

I'd say number one. As stupid as Akira Toriyama has been at times, I doubt he would have made it so that Gohan could have been that strong but not even thought to have transformed.

This is one huge question that I am asking myself too.

Super Saiyan increase power by 50 times. While Super Saiyan 2 increase power 2 times.

So Super Saiyan 2 Mystic Gohan would be 100 times more powerful than Gohan that fough Majin Buu. I doubt he could use SSJ at that time, because I am sure he would even overpower Super Buu with that amount of power.

So I would say that Akira made mistake in BoG with Gohan being able to go SSJ.
