What happens after the Akatsuki seal a bijuu

Ok when garra was captured and the sealed him with that machine thingy, what happend next?

Was it sealed into a member of the Akatsuki or was it sealed somewhere else?

can somone please explain?

That machine thing is called the Gedo Statue, it's the vessel of the Ten Tails. That's what they seal it into, when all the beasts have been sealed, the statue can once again become the Ten Tails itself.
