Literally no one uses it, it could save lives and also can it evade Amaterasu? How fast does the log replace the user and how fast does the user move? Is it at the speed of light ?

It is as if this technique was forgotten after part 1 because that is the part in which we were watching Ninjas, in part 2 we watched Gods.
You call creating a 1000 clones of yourself and summoning giant toads watching ninjas?

Ninjas crept around to assassinate pre-determined targets, not battle giant creatures and use big flashy magic. Kishi said himself at the very start that it wasn't going to be about traditional ninja.

Kawarimi has no place in Part 2 since it just swaps you with an object over a short distance at high speed - not particularly useful against opponents that are hypersonic and hit with techniques with a large damage radius.

Well sakura is probably the only one that still uses it. :lmao:

This technique is at the lowest rank being an E-Rank jutsu and is a very basic get away jutsu. The body-flicker technique is much better technique but is still weak.

*Here is a breakdown of the techniques:

Body Replacement Jutsu (original technique; E-rank) --> Body Flicker Jutsu (advanced version of body replacement; D-rank)

*Minato/Tobirama's space-time jutsus are kinda like advanced versions of the body-flicker technique but in a whole different class. They are much faster and much more useful against high level ninja's like Madara, Kages, & etc. Their use of implementing markings/seals make the technique even stronger making it an S-Rank jutsu. However, it derived and originated from its most basic form which is the body replacement technique/body flicker technique.

*Space-Time Ninjutsu work almost the same since the user is able to move long distances in a shorter time. However, space-time jutsu's exceed the body-flicker jutsu because unlike moving/running at extreme speeds the user is actually moving from dimension to dimension relative to time & space allowing them to get to their location almost instantaneously.

* Bottom line is that the body replacement technique isn't used that often because it fails against high level shinobi. Most ninja that are on kakashi's level or higher will not likely fall for the wood trick lol (wont work on sharingan, byakugan, sensory ninjas, or kage/god tiers). However, another advanced form of that technique that suprises even high level ninja is the shadow-clone technique which works like the body-replacement technique since the opponent wont know where the original went. Naruto however uses the technique in a much better way and not just for hiding and escaping, but in order to outnumber and overpower his opponent.

*The original technique has been used countless time in the anime by ninja's such as sakura, kakashi (part 1), and more. However, in shippudden the technique has basically died lol. The body-flicker technique which is better than the body replacement jutsu is still used very often and is demonstrated in shippudden by jiraiya, kakashi, iruka, and many more ninja.

Hope this help you understand.

:hint:
