What happened to root?

Ok so after Danzo died im guessing root was disbanded? But it's not like the members of root could just live normal lives they had there emotions destroyed and are pretty much mindless drones. I'm guessing maybe root has a new leader but I highly doubt it because even the two strongest members Fuu and Torrune were killed off and they weren't even that strong to begin with so who knows what happened. They probably work for the Konoha ANBU or something O___O

My guess is Root died when Danzo did. Any former members were likely recruited to fight in the war.

^ I think this. Root probably was disbanded after Danzo died.

They were liquidised into the ANBU under the control of the Hokage. Thats why Sai assigned them to Kakashi after Danzo's death (and Tsunade's coma) as he was the acting Hokage

Danzo died but before hand it was already officially disbanded i think they assumed their roles in the village under the tsunade's rule.
