I think that unlike the uchiha who apparently only married other uchiha to preserve their bloodline senju did the other way around i mean they mixed way too much with other people who had nothing to do with the senju bloodline therefore making the senju genes weaken until they senju linage became irrelevant and they lost the endurance and great chakra reserves.

I think , that the senju hid themselves under unknown names , like Tsunade , we know Tsunade is a Senju , but that was a secret well hidden before , like µNaruto , we know he is a well known Namikaze , although he took the name of the foreigners Uzumaki.

Tsunade probably won't have passed her 10 years if she wasn't hidden , like Naruto.
