Chapter 594 was released and Tobi's comment at Kakashi and guy gave first clear hint hat indeed he might be Obito. Manga was probably late as well and people stayed waiting for it. There can be so many variables...

It was likely because of the new chapter that was out that day. I did a little research and turns out that day was a Wednesday, when Naruto manga usually comes out. And the chapter was so good that lots of users had to be on I guess.
