Was a REDIC good fanfic
You must be registered for see links
Also there was a anime
This is a follow up to the manga fanfic i think
You must be registered for see links
The 2nd link isn't the follow up to the fanfic, I'm 90% sure those are only scenes from Death Note Rewrite.
Death Note Rewrite is just a summary of the entire story but from Ryuk's POV with a few new scenes.
Even though Death Note is my 3rd favourite series I haven't bothered to watch it yet.
Members of the fanbase believe this Unnamed Shinigami to be the reincarnation of Light Yagami due to six pieces of evidence: his coat looks similar to Light's when he died, he walks up stairs to meet Ryuk (a subtle reference to Light's death); the way he tosses the apple to Ryuk; the fact he inexplicably knows Ryuk's love for Apples (without asking the other Shinigami); in the early episodes Ryuk explains to Light that once a human use's the death note they will not go to heaven nor hell; and the fact that Ryuk says "Raito" (Light's real name) as he realizes the Shinigami's identity at the end (after the Unnamed Shinigami leaves).Speculation has occurred since then and it is possible that the tie the unnamed shinigami uses for a headband is one of light's.
I want to believe this. I will make myself believe this
Here's my opinion on this.
I believe that Shinigami is not Light.
Why? That Shinigami isn't the only one that did the same thing as Ryuk.
In a manga released after the series ended you see that another Shinigami also tried to do the same thing as Ryuk but he failed miserably.
In that manga we also know that the entire Shinigami world knows about the other world's apples, and they all love it.
And the way that Ryuk talks to the unnamed Shinigami, it doesn't really remind me of how he talks to Light.
Shit, I forgot what I wanted to say.
I started hearing noises and kind of freaked out and my mind went blank so I forgot what I was going to say.
Oh well.
Anyways, I recommend you read L:Change the World and Death Note: Another Note The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases.
