[Question] What happend with Light Yagami after he died?

I know that a person who uses Death Note can't go to neither Hell or Heaven,but what does that mean? What happens to his soul?

There was a fan made manga where Light is in the Shinigami world, it's a pretty cool manga.
Ryuk reminds him that he can't go to Heaven or Hell so he stays there and he has to experience the death of every person he killed over and over, so he has to die 300k times.
In the end he goes smart mode again and tells Ryuk, ''Your entertainment doesn't end yet Ryuk.'' and goes to the Shinigami King to convince him to give him another Death Note and stuff.

Pretty damn cool fanfic.
And convincing him would be easy because the Shinigami King traded a Death Note with another Shinigami for like 10 apples.

Sadly, a fanfic.

The 2nd link isn't the follow up to the fanfic, I'm 90% sure those are only scenes from Death Note Rewrite.
Death Note Rewrite is just a summary of the entire story but from Ryuk's POV with a few new scenes.

Even though Death Note is my 3rd favourite series I haven't bothered to watch it yet.

Here's my opinion on this.
I believe that Shinigami is not Light.
Why? That Shinigami isn't the only one that did the same thing as Ryuk.
In a manga released after the series ended you see that another Shinigami also tried to do the same thing as Ryuk but he failed miserably.
In that manga we also know that the entire Shinigami world knows about the other world's apples, and they all love it.

And the way that Ryuk talks to the unnamed Shinigami, it doesn't really remind me of how he talks to Light.

Shit, I forgot what I wanted to say.
I started hearing noises and kind of freaked out and my mind went blank so I forgot what I was going to say.

Oh well.
