What on earth happened to this guy?
Ebisu disappeared from the face of Narutoverse.
With his dashing bandana, circle shades combo. He was hyped to be a trainer for "elite" ninja.
what a great job he did
He taught absolutely nothing to konohamaru and failed at teaching Naruto the simple task(for a ninja at least) of walking on water.

I think the Ramen guy and Iruka could team up and bully him around.

I guess he was elite to normal ninja standards. Remember Naruto couldn't learn to walk on water because of his seal which he was probably unaware of. I don't think he failed with Konohamaru either. Naruto just taught him a haxeed jutsu he learned from Jiraya.
