What happen to Sasuke's Spin-off Series?

Apparently, a Author Named Akira Higashiyama, was suspose to Make a manga called
"The Thunder Chronicles - The day when the wolf howled", and Sasuke uchiha was suspose to be the Main character, but idk what happen to it, i was reading about it and it was suspose to be released in October of 2012, but i don't see any chapters online :'(, Idk if it got cancelled or something else, but i really wish it could of been released, i'm not even that interested in the Naruto manga anymore, alot has changed, and kishi doesn't write the story like he used to

I don't even find Naruto that entertaining as i used to, I mostly just read it, for Sasuke's character, and to see where he goes, so it would have been really great manga, with Sasuke as the main character and by a different author

I'm not 100% sure, if he was drawing it, i read about it along time ago, but Kishi gave permission to use Sasuke's character, or i think he said he was gonna draw it, I don't remmber

They probably realized that it would be a stupid idea to do a serious spin-off before the original story is finished.

If Kishi gave him permission as you suggest, I'm sure then that that this series would've been more accurate and relevant to the Naruto series than say, Rock Lee's Sping Time of Youth. Doing so before the actual series reached it's end would've just caused a conflict with readers who would likely would attempt to tie events from both stories together.

Either that or they needed more time to let the story develop

I don't think it was ever translated though, as I read the original Japanese text. If I can get scans, I may make my own scanlations - provided enough people are interested.

Well if it is done and released, then I guess it's possible that the attention it's garnered so far hasn't been sufficient enough for an english debut.

I'm really surprised that no english translations can be found on it. You would think that some fan would've done so by now
