Well I wanted to go into the law field before, but my family was like go med or die....>.> but then I got an internship with a law firm and I was excited and happy with it.

Not I'm thinking on rather or not to please my family or not..... >.< Ergh

Stick with law if it makes you happy? Lawyers get paid a lot, almost as much as doctors. With enough experience as a lawyer, you can become a judge and you'll easily make more than a doctor.

It's understandable to want to make your family proud, but if you get a job that you are unhappy with, it will only affect your productiveness, and strain your health. Do what makes you happy, your family should be proud of you no matter what.

Yeah I know they do, but my worry is on the shelf life of the career.

np! I find when you're happy with your job, you live a better life, get faster promotions, are happier for it, compared to doing something you're ok, but is not what you truly wanted.

Shelf life of career?

Not everyone passes the bar or even makes it into law school, and then the demand for lawyers has dropped since there has been an increase in lawyers over the years (or at least that is what I've been brainwashed to believe). Shelf life as in how easy/reliable is the career to get and keep.
