Nah there is no darkness in Gai to turn him into any of these men. Only thing they would have in common is the burned bodies nothing more. Also keep the replies coming the post count is rising ^^
Some of those guys were ok too. Harvey Dent and Anikan Skywalker started as good guys.
Dent became schitzo after his disfigurement and Skywalker was manipulated by a power crazed Sith lord. Seeing as Guy isn't power crazed like Skywalker I doubt he would be like him, and seeing as he is mentally fine now I doubt he would become schitzo.
Gai was burnt to a crisp. Something that painful must affect the mind in a negative way.
The human mind can only take so much. Harvey was willing to die to protect this allies as well But the pain was just too much that he went crazy.
He didn't go crazy because of pain he went crazy because of his deformity. There have been soldiers who have been severly burned and still want to protect their allies and country. If anything Gai resembles that more than any of your choices.
Yeah but harvey was burned on his head. The fire peirced his skin and burned his skull. Surely that boiled his brain a bit.
Harvey was hit with acid that deformed his brain. After he recovered and saw his face he had a mental break that made him schitzo and obsed with chance, rule of two, and duelality. Also his brained wasn't damaged physically by the acid as the acid would leave him a vegetable or dead, even if it was fire the same would happen.
They put out the flame before he could turn into a vegetable. He was only burning for a few seconds.
When you get a fever you need to cool it or extinguish it because the fever kill brain cells and if a brain heats to much the person dies. Dent suffers from fourth degree burns which damages the up until the bone. Also acid burns and eats through anything dependent on the acid used so ya.
