What did you get from the picture on the bottom panel when you saw it?
Is Naruto seeing himself in Obito?
Is Obito seeing himself in Naruto?
Or, is Kishi foreshadowing?

I took it as Obito seeing himself in Naruto's shoes, or, just as the good guy who stayed in the village.

Or, that they both share the same ideals and Kishi/Obito is showing us that.

The meaning in that last panel can be found in the following page. Obito was trying to break Naruto to prove a point to himself... that leaving behind the path Naruto chose was correct. He and Naruto were truly the same up until the point Rin died. He then began seeing how his life could have turned out if he hadn't made that choice, and believed in friends, that love doesn't have to lead to hate, and peace can be found in this world.
