What exactly is considered a troll thread?

It's all subjective really. If you don't agree with another persons opinion, they will call you a troll and report you.

If you add humor to a thread, someone will call you a troll and report you.

It seems like every thread made now, is considered a troll thread.

A troll thread, is a thread that attacks someone personally, or cyberbullies.

Vouching an opinion, is not trolling.

That isn't even remotely what internet trolling is all about but ok.

A troll thread is a thread that is cleverly put together, and purposely, to arouse anger in either an individual or group of people purely for the kicks. The troll doesn't really believe in what they are saying, thus it has nothing to do with one sharing their personal opinion, and the most common way to troll is to present something as fact when it's plainly obvious that even if it were their opinion, it's nowhere near factual and not even really logical. Internet trolls, epsecially nowadays, rarely single out one person but instead try to get angry reactions out of the masses.

Example of a personal opinion:
I think Naruto is stronger than Sasuke

Example of trolling:
"Naruto stomps/solos Sasuke neg diff. Rasenshuriken gg. Naruto>Sasuke basically because I say so and I like him better"

Since a good number of threads nowadays follow the tone of the latter example, yes a lot of threads tend to get called troll threads. Because that's what they are.

And also just so you know, a cyber bully is not the same thing as a troll at all. A troll wants to make you mad so he can get a kick out of your angry response and the drama they've caused. A cyber bully, much like any bully, just wants to make you suffer. They don't care about getting a negative reaction out of you, they just want to put you down in any way they can
