What Exactly Happen 2 Obito With That Rock

That was the only thing that could make sense given that he got crushed by a boulder and magically survived as well.

I just wish there was an explanation on it, for instance, Uchiha's with unique MS abilities would be able to show their gifts early on rather than needing to activate MS.

For instance, Sasuke being magically gifted in Katon hinting at his Amaterasu/Kagutsuchi prowess.
Itachi being extremely well versed in Genjutsu

- So forth.

Kishimoto just hinted at him somehow being able to use it last second because 'plot' but didn't explain why. It would be interesting lore wise for the Mangekyo Sharingan/Uchiha. Oh well

I just fanfic it and say he was feeling regret and loss so it activated to give him another chance lol. A flashback of Zetsus finding him would've helped but it's not that important to me in a world where oro can puke himself out lol

Nah, I think he managed to stay alive thanks to his will power. Obito has proven to have a will as strong as Ashura's incarnates, he most likely kept himself alive based on pure will like Kimimaro and Itachi

It could be the same case of Kakashi unlocking MS after killing Rin and later "unlocking" it during Shippuden. Obito could've unlocked the MS as the boulder fell on him and later "unlocked" it after seeing Kakashi kill Rin. It could've simply been an issue of unlocking it beforehand but only realizing it sometime later since this seemed to be the case with Kakashi.


Or it could've been plot.

That Boulder fell on half his body but if it did wouldnt it have caved his skull in killing him instantly?

Yeah he used Kamui but if he used kamui right away then why would his Right side be damaged?

Yeah, I brought up these points way back in a thread. It seems that the Sharingan responds to the situation and the user's psyche:

- Sasuke is vengeful, hence his mastery over flames. Flames are an excellent metaphor for anger, wrath and hatred.
- Itachi's life was a pile of lies. He has a mastery over Genjutsu. He casts those illusions.
- Obito tended to run away from things and got trapped under a boulder. His eye decided to give him an ability to slip away.

It appears that the Sharingan really does reflect dispositions and psyches and emotions. It's a shame Kishimoto never fully expanded on Sharingan lore, given how rich it is.

His side got crushed but sharingan survived and about madara's statement, he was talking about the other side of his body since when kakashi and rin left more rocks fell on obito that's when he used kamui. Not before. That's why his side was crushed but other side was safe. And eye is usually a little in to the skull and we could see his skull wasn't compressed so his eye survived and so did he.

No. Obito was indeed completely crushed by the rock. After the cave collapsed, his sharingan temporarily activated MS and he fell through the floor, along with the rock. He fell into the pathway leading to Madara's hideout. This is why Madara stated Zetsu found him near the rock and that he must have slipped through.

Which makes no sense to me. How would this be possible if he didn't unlock his MS ability until Rin died which happened after Madara saved him?

It was temporarily activated in the moment of crisis.

To reiterate, Obito was indeed crushed by the rock. The time he spent talking to Kakashi and Rin, not to mention the time it took to transfer his left eye, he was dying during that time. After the cave collapsed, his MS temporarily activated and he phased through the ground, taking a rock with him. That is how he ended up in the pathway to Madara's lair and that's how Zetsu found him.

Afterward, his body was treated with Zetsu cells. His head was crushed to a degree but not fully, hence how he kept his right eye intact.
