Hmm. I saw a battle RP thread where someone posted a list in their first post, something like this:

CC: none
CJ: none

I gathered that the first one is canon character, but is the second one custom jutsu, or canon jutsu? :x
If I wanted to use my basic E rank jutsus like replication, would I have to put yes in CJ, assuming it stood for canon jutsu?

Dude does it really even matter?
It does matter. Because other wise you would be talking about a cannon. As in something that shoots cannonballs.

So yeah you can call me out for being a stickler but I'm going to call out whoever misspells it and tell them that their sentence makes no sense.

Except for Beca who didn't even know the word so it didn't matter if she misspelled it.

EDIT: To Beca. No CJ means custom jutsu, I could be wrong since I never do RP but I'm pretty sure that is what it is.

whatever double "n" or single >.<
I know canon episodes since I mostly saw them in many anime articles if you're reading. So canon episode is existing. I said same principle apply since the same goes with canon characters, canon episodes are the main episodes where the story mainly run.
No, canon episodes only fit the bill if the source material is the anime itself.

I've heard the word "canon" in reference to things Catholic. Thanks for this thread Beca (+rep). I learned allot. . So, it made me curious about the definition outside of Naruto. As you'd expect it is very familiar to the definitions already given to you. You can see how it came to be used in narutobase RP.
From dictionary.com
Canon:
the body of rules, principles, or standards [accepted as axiomatic] and universally binding in a field of study.
