[Question] What does the line through a name mean?

So, I've seen multiple people get a line through their username, and "banned" right underneath that. They don't have a profile picture, avatar, or a signature. I thought this meant banned, but how come I still see their posts? Shouldn't they not be able to post anymore? Is this a trend or something, or is this what it looks like when someone is banned?

It means the member is currently banned. Getting banned won't hide their posts, unless an admin decides to manually do that. Banned members can't post, access their profile/messages etc. They can only view the forum.

It means they f'ed up..bigtime.

The member is Currently banned then, but that was one of their post's before they got banned, which will still be active/seeable all that stuff.

No, Smd was never deleted. She just went inactive.

And Admins never delete Member Accounts as it causes loss of data.

Accounts have been deleted before, but it's not a regular practice.

Did Drizzy or anyone say anything about members who have been muted or deleted prior to my answer? I went on to mention the cases where you can't see a person's posts (though I'm not entirely sure on the mute thing)

@Dragonor: If I remember correctly, there was a time when I couldn't find Smd on NB yet I see her profile now. I think she was muted at some point due to the flames she caused so easily.
