What does Narutobase think of Homestuck?

A couple of my buddies have read it in the past and said it was okay and entertaining for the most part;
So the question is ..
what do you guys think of it? Would it be worth looking into or should I just not bother?
I've seen gifs and I've read some parts from our skype group and thought it had some funny parts but is it all like that?

And before anyone says anything about tumblr;
I've looked at the tag, but I just don't use the site enough to care for the fanbase I just want to know if it'd be worth my time to read.
