So we all read the latest chapter and I was really confused during the last part where madara was old there he said "Between this and the other world" what does he mean by that??

Was just being metaphorical, meaning that Tobi was near death and only barely clinging on to life.

could be a s/t jutsu which he has been taken to so that he can recover, or he could of just meant it as in he is only just clinging to life... who knows

Assuming Madara used the Rinnegan (if he had it at that time), they were in the same place where Kakashi had a conversation with his dad.
