Just for the sake of having something of utmost value, I guess. Money is the only thing of value to him.
Thank you I never got why villains are so obsessed with money if they cant use it. Like tf? They can't just walk into a store and buy something they're wanted criminals and even if they could why would they? They're fking villains they'll just steal what they want.
