What does it mean to be successful in life?

Ask that to many people, and you will get many different answers. Many would think that a person is successful if the person has a lot of money, has a rewarding career, or is well educated. Others say that to be successful one needs a good relationship with family, friends, or workmates.

What do you think it means to be successful?

We may not be able to change the way others view about us, but we can change the way we view our own situation. Whatever your situation might be, you are successful if you work hard. You will be glad you made the effort.

Everyone has a different definition of success because we each try to find our own happiness. I for one want to be "successful" in the sense like most people do: have a likable career, a family, do my part in society, etc.

I'll consider myself successful once I accomplish the following: finish all my schooling, get a steady job (hopefully at a large hospital or elsewhere with guaranteed retirement benefits), pay back all my student loans, get married, and purchase my own house.

So I guess I measure success based upon how many personal goals I achieve. Everyone is different tho I suppose

I think just having a positive outlook on life itself is a success or atleast can lead to happiness, I don't know.
