What are the things Boruto series improving over the Naruto series?

Do you think something in Boruto series is handled better than in Naruto series?

EDIT: I will create this thread again after boruto manga ends. to see the difference in response in the comment section :bdpf:

I think the animation is better.

Jutsu versatility is better.

I prefer Naruto's story so far though.

Characters? Villains? Females?

I actually think they don't do the female characters dirty this time. Powerwise that is..

If we're talking about the anime - the animation is far superior (and consistent) when compared to Naruto, and for now it seems that Boruto's anime reaches its highest-highs (again, in terms of animation quality) far more frequently than Naruto ever did.

If we're talking about the manga... well... the art is improving?

Yeah ok, I'll be sure to remind you of that when the manga ends in 10 years

The female characters are better, but I didn't hate how Part 1 Hinata was written. At least she was what she was.

Whereas I feel like Sumire's personality is all over the place. She acts like Hinata, but she has this dark side personality + outgoing at the same time with boys?

Confusing. The designs are worse than the original series, which kind of puts me down a notch.

I'm liking Ao so far, but I don't know whether to count him as Naruto villain or a Boruto one lol.

Like Indra said, the animation is more consistent and polished but this is also due to the fact that software available nowadays is amazing, compared to the start of Naruto.

I also like how weapons are being introduced..

Jutsu versatility is better.

I hope we don't get stuck with this "versatility" for the next 50 chapters. At one point the Rasengan was fresh.

What about the anime? we have 52 episodes a year each episode is more than a chapter in the manga

Too bad the anime isn't following the Manga. Anyway, this is why fillers exist, to fill.

:hint:

Yup. Let's be realistic here - the manga is monthly, so we're only getting a max of 12 chapters per year (though that number will realistically be closer to 10 or 11 per year on account of breaks). Given how popular Naruto was, and still is, I believe they wouldn't have even bothered with a sequel series if they didn't plan on it being a significant length. Since it's monthly however, I also believe that they're also realistic enough not to print hundreds of chapters since that would take decades at only 11 chapters per year. If I were to give an educated guess at how long I think the manga will last - I'd say it'll end up being roughly 100 chapters. So yes, that would by extension mean that my educated guess at how long the manga will last is roughly 10 years.

That may be true, but the same was true with Naruto and that anime lasted 16 years. In my opinion the two greatest mistakes made was making the Boruto manga monthly and beginning the Boruto anime when they did. As now that the anime has taken off, they can't stop until the manga concludes (unless the show get's cancelled due to horrible ratings - but the odds of that are slim to none), and since the manga is monthly that means that the Boruto anime will very quickly follow in the footsteps of the Naruto anime and have an endless stream of filler between canon arcs.

Could we also infer that the story won't last as long because it's monthly? We look at it like:

> Monthly series = gonna take forever

but we could also look at it like

> Monthly series = planned not to last for 10 years

It could very well take another 1-2 years until the time skip, and then the next 3-4 years to finish the series altogether. Though that's just a rough estimate.

I hope we don't get stuck with this "versatility" for the next 50 chapters. Remember when the Rasengan was fresh?
True. There is a bad case of versatility like what-ever the pokemon was going in the Buntan fight.

While Naruto didn't have that much versatility, the jutsu they had were iconic. But I wouldn't mind less part 1 jutsu and just 'new jutsu' altogether.

Tired of seeing the same crap. lol

I know but if that's the case they will need to come up with a lot of side plots. i don't see boruto anime in filler hell all the time. why not surpass the manga? i mean it's possible because dbs anime is ahead of the manga

Amma be honest, Boruto v, Shojoji depending on how its animated, will probably be a lot cleaner than that crap.

That fight was eye cancer. Not to mention the Jutsu: Lightning Ball

Naruto was freaking hell in terms of fillers. I just hope they don't follow the same pattern.. I remember during the war arc they just moved to Sunagakure exams, those fillers lasted half a year. :D

It will probably be fine 'tho. Boruto is depicted as a highly creative ninja in terms of jutsu combinations, the seals studied by Kara will also bring a fresh flavour to this, the same as Ninja Tech.

It will be fine!
