We all know that Kishimoto in his interview in 2013 said that " faceoff between Naruto and Sasuke is waiting as well."
He tells us that there is a faceoff but on what terms and at what occasion is not known.
My theory is that Sasuke might end up taking the side of the shinobi alliance. This would be important for two reasons
1)Hashirama and Madara finally fight and we see the power of Hashirama and Madara since we couldn't see it in the Kage vs Madara fight completely and we couldn't see any justsu's in the Madara vs Hashirama fight at the Valley of the End.
2)The previous villians of the manga will become a part of the good side. Kishimoto tries to add some moral to everything. this way he could show that anyone can make a person come to the side of good if he tries hard enough.
The Battle will end with the shinobi alliance winning. this would not only clear Sasuke and Orochimaru's name from the S-rank criminals but would also allow naruto to become the Hokage of the village since Naruto has promised on many occasions that he will become hokage only when Sasuke comes back to the village such as
If we do say that the following events do take place then i dont think Kishimoto will use the same plot as he did for Madara and Hashirama. I think that the "faceoff" that Kishimoto mentions is for the place of Hokage when Naruto and Sasuke face off for the title of Hokage. Naruto will win and so Sasuke ends up like an advisor. This is my theory. I know I dont have enough proof to fully explain my claim but this is what I think. Tell me what you think about this "faceoff" aswell.
