Oh yes, a backstory about how Dragon will change the world in the future in a flashback. Brilliant.

I can't wait for Oda to show us how the revolutionary most wanted and hyped man in the world will save the day from his grave. All that planning at least made for 3-4 good cameo's in 15 years time, Dragon had a good run.

I hope you're good with your hands Riker because you probably will never land a job that requires a lot of thinking.
1. I thought you meant Dragon's backstory

2. If Dragon is killed off-panel, Oda can simply have someone like Sabo tell the story of what happened, and it'd be a flashback. The same way Ace vs Teach was told in a flashback at a point in the story where it had happened in the past.

If Dragon dies before the arc is shown, and it's shown via flashback, the flashback can start with the beginning of Dragon's course as a Rev and why he's doing it. It can show what he did to become notorious and infamous, then fast forward a few times towards the future, then show the last mission/course of his moves, which can end in his death, and is told by Sabo, the new Rev leader. Basically an arc that would be like an extended Bannaro Incident combined with Ace's and Luffy's backstory.

Get off your ****ing high horse, acting like Oda can't do an arc via flashback. My entire post was talking about the scenario where Dragon dies before he succeeds in revolution, and the story of it all is initially off-panel, then revealed of what happened, both past and present, via flashback. I hope you don't get a job that requires critical/creative thinking

Of course Sabo will take over at some point, but Dragon needs to serve his purpose first and he can't do that if Blackbeard destroys him at this point at the story. And the opposite is also true, blackbeard can't allow himself to get captured/killed by Dragon and Sabo.

That means that in the present Dragon and BB will stay important. And we know that BB and Dragon didn't get all their shit done in the past.

So the only timeline left is the future. Which rules out all your crazy methods of doing this in a flashback.

Dragon will do something earth shattering so the outcome of the fight is probably just a stand-off / interrupted, some minor damage/losses or a deal.

Just stick to the topic.

Who said destroyed? Please direct me to where I said it wouldn't be an extreme diff battle with heavy losses on both sides that are present?

.
Not really. We're 20 years, 8 sagas, 28 arcs in. We're at a point in the story where the climax unfolds. We are perfectly within territory for major game-changing things like Dragon dying.

Dragon will do something earth shattering so the outcome of the fight is probably just a stand-off / interrupted, some minor damage/losses or a deal.
And? Pretty sure forming the Revolutionaries IS earth-shattering.

Just stick to the topic.

I still don't see what BB will gain by revealing Dragon's whereabouts at this point where he is so close to OnePiece, Aokiji on the other hand can act on his own which also I doubt after what he told to Smoker about finding out something after quitting the WG.
And again, Dragon is gonna confront WG sooner or later and at this point his summoning the officers is proof enough that they're ready to make their move so why would the WG be much of an uncalculated threat.
Who said BB is close to One Piece. Also If WG go behind Dragon it gave BB an opportunity to make his claim in New World much stronger as he is the newest yonko but he accquire places only because he know WB all territory so he get a chance to get all weapon of revolutionaries which they got from dressrosa. Then he can rule New World.

No you're not dipstick.

Don't try to wiggle yourself out of the situation you created yourself with stupid comments. You know very well that Dragon has more purpose then just forming the revolutionaries. And you just forgot that Oda can't deal with it in a flashback.

And instead of taking it like a man, you act like a little sissy and try to turn it around on me. I made solid points you did not. If you didn't comment on my first post like an ass you could've saved yourself the humiliation. But I guess it was to be expected since it isn't the first time.

The topic is Dragon vs Teach. I'm pretty sure the notion that Dragon COULD die during the battle is on-topic.

*CinemaSins voice* What?

He could actually. As I've described before, if Dragon and Teach were to fight off-panel and Dragon died, Oda can simply have someone tell the story of what happened, probably to Garp or Luffy. We'd then see the massive clash on-screen as a flashback. In Dragon's dying moments, we'd have a flashback within a flashback of Dragon's backstory and rise and actions of the Revs. All of it together would be a massive Revolutionary Army/Dragon arc. Am I saying it will happen? I'm saying it is not impossible.

Dragon is definitely gonna be a character who did huge things by the end of the series. If Dragon died in this clash that's gonna happen, that can still be done. There are countless ways it can happen if Dragon dies soon. For example, setting off an Ancient Weapon in his dying breath. Or organizing leak of a colossally game-changing mass of information(He and his fellow Revs are constantly seen fiddling around with papers and are known to intercept information). Hell, it could be the information Doflamingo alluded to involving the Tenryuubito. Forming the Revolutionary Army itself is already a colossal game-changer for the entire world. You say "more than forming the Revs" like that's some small thing. In the beginning of it, the Reverie were noting how dangerous it was. Obviously, decades later, it's going to be an amazingly world-changing entity.

And instead of taking it like a man, you act like a little sissy and try to turn it around on me. I made solid points you did not. If you didn't comment on my first post like an ass you could've saved yourself the humiliation. But I guess it was to be expected since it isn't the first time.
Wow, you've been here, like, 2 years longer than me and you don't know how debating or discussing works. You are incredibly narcissistic. Your word isn't the end of the discussion. You get to say what you think are good points, I get to say what I think are good points.

Get over yourself, you uppity ****. And no, the asterisks don't stand for the shorthand term for Richard.

Let me give you a masterclass in debating.

The one at the end with the best arguments wins, which is me.

I don't need to disect your posts and write super long comments to prove a point. Everything that is wrong with your theory is in your own posts, not in mine.

Pretty sad that you have to try and drag others to your level because you can't admit that you made mistakes.

I needed this laugh. Like, I was kidding, but you actually, really don't get how debating works.

Actually now that Riker brought up some good points.. Dragon can be killed by the BB pirates in a 2 vs 1 or some ambush, and it'd be fine with me. BUT bigger issue isn't just Dragon, its the revolutionary army as a whole. If the entire Army gets taken on by 1 yonko who isn't even the strongest.. then is the reader supposed to really believe they were going to take on the World Government, an organization that can most likely take on all the Yonko and win with Mid-diff or so?

Its about how Oda will kill him off, instead of if he will or if he won't. If its a 1 vs 1 against BB and Dragon, and Dragon dies (the most hyped character after Roger) due to that 1 vs 1.. then he wasn't gonna change no world man. The army is only as strong as its' leader.

Don't worry you are, in the Naruto section. I was talking about the OP section.

There's also the fact that the entire army isn't there. Based on what we know, with those "crazy guys" on their way and several factions of the army scattered throughout the world, it seems as though Dragon's best players aren't all with him. I can see Teach being on Dragon's level or close, or using some kind of sneaky tactic to get the drop on him.

Dragon won't die. Thats just plain and simple.
What and how it happens we will just see. Its just not Odas style.

No characters ever die! Even villains somehow live. I think like 2 villains have died in the 15+ years this things has been going and like 5 characters total when you consider that whitebeard and Ace died in the same arc.

The only purpose that confrontation will serve is to reveal the hype that Dragon and the how far BBs crew has come. That is all.

If Kuma arguably one of the strongest OP characters was under him and now Sabo plus who knows what other freaks; Dragon has to be at least be stronger than them.
