what do you think the disease from Clannad was/is

Clannad- the baby mother had the disease, then when the child dies from it the father either dies from it or goes into a coma. what could it be ?


i wanted to find sad moments in anime and i found one but i have to know, if there is a answer.

OT: TBH no one knows what kind of disease it is, but if you watch it carefully its have something to do with the town changing, it looks to me that both Nagisa and Ushio have some kind of special attachment with the town, especially that HOSPITAL building

and also you should put a spoiler tag in the OP since that was a major spoiler from the series....
