Okay so on Tomato King's thread of One Piece plot twists we were told to post our craziest OP plot twist. I thought of a great idea that came to me in an epiphany that I thought I'd might share. I posted it on Tomato King's thread and I'll copy and paste it here:

And here's what will make it a viable idea. Oda loves to infuse historical, especially occidental history, into OP. Galvariano happened to be an enemy of the SPANISH during the AGE OF EXPLORATION!! This fits perfectly in my opinion. Not to mention a lot of pirates have prosthetic limbs in areas where they've lost limbs in battle

Seeing how OP parallels the European age of exploration and the Spanish elements of this story, I think it would work out pretty well

I dunno, seems kind of...stupid. I can see it with Shiki and his legs, but Zoro and his arms/hands? Nah.

OT: I dont like the idea either. Law could just fix them for him even if they did get ripped off. Assuming they were completely destroyed though it might be cool to see him adapt for a while as long as he eventually got new hands somehow. As a permanent change though.. no..

I wanted to say he wld just Ashura new arms, but the thought of Zoro loosing his arms(plural too) is sickening , and for a manga about realizing yo dreams wld b the worst thing to happen to a charecter with whom has been built for his goals like Zoro. This idea of yoz is so awful its making me question what kind of person u r.

I dislike the idea. If he does get his arms cut off I rather have him make completely new arms out of illusions that's so strong that they are more durable than his original arms.

Or he could go the Admiral Z/Kid route with a metallic arm
