What do you think of the soundtrack these days?

Although dialogue and action is the most important, what makes me like a series a lot is if they have a good soundtrack. I've been watching a bit of Part 1 Naruto, and a little bit of early Shippuden episodes, and I think the soundtrack has been slipping lately since the start of the War Arc.

I can't really seem to get to grips with it as much as the others. Back in Part 1, we had tunes like 'Strong and Strike' (look it up if you've forgotten) to let you know when somethings about to get serious, plus we had Orochimaru's theme which was just Bach turned psycho. And even in Shippuden we had the Pain theme (Girei) for epicness, Itachi music for those mysterious moments and some great Akatsuki music as well.

But there's something about these recent arcs. I mean I may sound like a bit of a moany guy but it almost seems a bit too cheesy at times, plus when things get emotional there just doesn't seem to be enough bite to the soundtrack. I don't see why they couldn't bring a few tracks from back in the day for a bit of nostalgia, or maybe just to try out something a bit more epic.

Maybe i'm wrong though, it is all down to taste after all. Thoughts? Also, what was your fav soundtrack from the series?

They should have put some songs from part 1 in Shippuden I don't know why they refused to they were really good. Like the song in my sig "reverse situation" is epic.

I like the song that was played when sai's brother was dying that can get you at the right moment. And also the song when that slug was explaining to shinkaku about how A and tsuande let naruto pass in the latest anime episode. That song was epic

Its like there was more effort in the music those days. I hope they just use the old ones like itachi's, nagato, orochimaru's in the new scenes in the war

Well in all honesty when the good stuff is happening the music does fit in for me cause I dont focus on it too much
