Nintendo's recent actions depriving Partnered LPers on YouTube of their earnings will result in a backlash against Nintendo. The LPers are a great portion of Nintendo's PR and BRANDING. The ratio of what LPer's earn to what Nintendo would pay an advertising firm for the sales benefits Nintendo reaps is minimal at best. LPer's have the dedication and passion, their love of Nintendo's games along with their fan base following, is something Nintendo cannot even afford to PAY. With the news release that Nintendo Corporation is now going to take away the LPer's income from their videos will expose Nintendo's severe lack of forethought concerning their actions. The bottom line is that LPer's increase Nintendo's sales. No corporation, no matter how large, embraces a bad public image. Nintendo's recent actions do not encourage sales, they do not encourage the joy the games are supposed to provide. What these actions do highlight is what is considered corporate greed and not what should be a very happy symbiotic relationship. Nintendo, please rethink your stance on the appropriation of LPer revenue.
