I think he would have been badass! If the Uchiha weren't planning to take over Konoha then he wouldn't have to kill them. With Itachi Konoha would have been unstoppable! Heres proof of his power.

Hm, he would have been suitable I think, but I don't think he would have accepted the offer. Itachi is someone who likes to work in the shadows and with that I mean he wouldn't like a job that would put him in the spotlight. As Hokage he wouldn't be able to really defend the village (after all, usually the Kages only do paperwork and meetings and only fight when it's really necessary) and he's more content in defending the village through missions than sitting in an office I think
