(If he has one, it's not the f*cking Gomu Gomu No Mi. Someone would have mentioned in 800 chapters that Luffy has the same powers as Roger. And it's not the Mera Mera No Mi, or that would have been mentioned in the tournament at dressrosa. You would think Pirate King's devil fruit is more impressive than random whitebeard minion's devil fruit)

Roger was definitely a Haki master of all 3 types but I think he also had a devil fruit. If it's not the Gomu Gomu no Mi, it was most likely some sort of OP Logia.

Rayleigh seemed to know how Luffy's powers worked when teaching him things in Gear 4th which is somewhat suspicious and could lead to the idea that Rayleigh might've known whoever had eaten the Gomu Gomu no Mi before Luffy; which would most likely be the former pirate king. Not too sure how I'd feel about it but it's definitely possible. Keeping it a secret adds to the suspense and likelihood.

If he had a different devil fruit I think it was maybe a Logia but not the Mera Mera no Mi. I think Roger may have had basically the most OP theoretical devil fruit being the Mizu Mizu no Mi. Control of water would be so ridiculous to have as a power in the One Piece world. It'd definitely be a power worthy of the pirate king. It also sort of fits in with the story since Ace seemed to have a strong hatred towards his father and didn't want to be like him and fire and water are pretty much opposites.
