It will happen just if humans still alive until there and I really doubt it, because we are destroying our planet. The Earth can hold a maximum of 1 billion of people, but we already are 7 billions, for example.

Increase in technology use and advancement is going to lead to a plethora of problems in the future which I'm deeply concerned about. First, it's the obvious over reliance on technology which may end up being obtrusive in our lives. The other major issue is that if or when robots that can do advanced and sophisticated tasks become ubiquitous, then the amount of jobs will reduce. The harsh reality is that if you look at the number of people it would take to operate and maintain a robot, and compare it to the number of humans it would take to do the task the robot would do, you'd likely be left with a far lower number.

If there are less jobs, unemployment increases, which in turn leads to more instability, poverty and violence in countries. Quite frankly, a 50 or so years from now, I think that all of this is going to spiral out of control and the world might be in pandemonium. The increase in human population is only going to make things all the more worse.

Technology is gonna be the cause for human extinction.... Mark these words.

That's a very dim and unlearned view.

The cause of human extinction will be a natural disaster as after all, technology can be controlled and curbed - natural disasters cannot.

Also human cloning is the most controversial topic, no way would that become a readily available technology. Only potential is cloning certain parts, eyes, organs etc. so that you don't have to rely on organ donors

They're already doing organ cloning, basically. Besides, if we can have human test subjects, human cloning won't be too far out of the question eventually. It's just a matter of time. As our world becomes more desensitized to heavy topics and ethics become less of an issue, taboo potentials of the past will become our reality.
For example, I could say that since we can clone parts of a human, cloning all the parts of a human should be no different. Is it worse to clone a brain than it is to clone a liver? It's not a question we can answer objectively. The answer will change with the milieu of its society.

The robot vid was so cool! I liked how they made their faces androgynous. Points.

I think mother earth could provide for 10 billion people (random number) if we lived in a resource-based economy where nature and people's wellbeing is priority number one. And of course, ground-breaking technological advances cannot be suppressed like they are in our world.

Yes, I agree, but the problem is that we aren't doing this. Our economic development is depleting the natural resources and destroying our home. At this rate it won't take long until a disaster happens.

Agreed. It sounds like an apocalyptic movie, but we have to be prepared for the worse.

Darn our conformities and fear for not having an income or stable life heh Lol
That's what keeps us at bay.

If it was, in the end, it would be humans as the cause of human extinction.

Human Cloning is more of an ethical issue and we may have the capability to do so already, hopefully nobody has tried though. The rest of them will take a looooooooong time before they become a problem.

I don't know why people are worried about this more than things like nukes. We already have the ability to end the human race now.

Also resources and pollution are bigger problems as well.

No. Stupidity.
Partly yes, but true as well.

Humans got over Nukes, that's old. lol Either way, thou prefer nukes, human clones, threesome babys... in the end these all fall in the category of technology so in the end either they nuke us or create something with a progressed AI which in the end kills the human race(aye, too much movies) it would still be technology which ends us. Regardless of when, maybe 200 years from now? maybe a 1000, in the end it will be technology which ends us.

Y2K 2.0

OT - How do three people have a baby? :|
Threesome.... Two cums in one hole.

^^exactly this. No more is needed to be said...
