As much as I do not like him, he is the character most necessary to the story line, aside from Naruto. He is the most three dimensional, developed character in the series, which is why it's so disappointing that he's a douche.

but if he weren't a douche he wouldn't have been so necessary to the story line....

vegeta doesn't try to kill goku and destroy the whole town. Hes parents and family didnt get slaughtered. Sasuke is unique..

Well Gaara had it pretty bad too, he decided to not hate everyone in the end. Same people who hated him and wanted to kill him, he forgave and now he's epic. Aha

yeah well he is the only one who got his parents killed and then killed his last clan member not knowing that itachi was actually doin it for sasuke's safety coz he loved him. the kid's ****ed up

Well yea, but did that give him the right to kill karen who helped him. Or Kill innocent people to "get stronger". No one cares that he wants revenge, but to kill other people who had nothing to do with any of it. Sasuke is emotionally challenged, He takes his anger out on everyone.

Poor boy suffered and all, but the way he is going it wont do him or anyone any good. He is the last of his clan, with him the greater legacy of the Sage wld be lost. If he can redeem and break out of what Elder son started, it wld be the best.
Many people suffered and lost parents in Narutoverse.
Nagato lost his parents and his entire village, had to live off from battle field etc yet had a higher purpose in a twisted way of which he repented.
Gaara only knew hate from everyone since birth and his own father, uncle etc tried to kill him many times, was told that even his mother hated him. He too repented, broke out of the Shakaku madness and was set himself on the right path.
Team Asuma only wanted to kill Hidan not all the Jashins, Naruto wanted to take revenge on Nagato not the whole Ame. Where Sasuke wants to kill many who are innocent.
Many people lost or even never experienced family. Is Sasuke too 'cool' to be wrong and redeem?

Right, but gaara also got sense beaten into him, also he realized stuff about bonds and that he didnt need to kill everyone in sight to feel alive, also he realized that naruto knew how he felt. He also had a hand in making sasuke more power hungry, if you remember their fight.

Sasuke, on the other hand, always felt like he wasnt good enough (like hinata), felt alone because nobody understands him (like gaara and naruto), had the hate of nagato from seeing his whole clan slaughtered, and then had a certain person to hate and blame.... And the fact that it was his loving older brother he was so close with made it worse. Then, after throwing his future away to kill his older bro it turned out that he was good, and always looking out for him and was forced to murder their clan.

The "you dont understand how i feel" that sasukes always spewing gets annoying but its true in a way.

Yeah, but atleast have a goal and a reason behind it. He's pretty much just killing people for no reason at this point. Itachi should've smacked some sense into him.
