When a child grows up with a slack mother (Hinata) and a father that doesn't spend time with them (Naruto- has time to go with Sasuke but sends clones for Boruto lol), they tend to be that way. And I've seen children in worse situations than Salad that behave better than she does.


ChoCho felt like ditching her dad and was embarrassed since he got the wrong kind of chips. Do you know how thankful Bolt (or Salad) would be to have lunch on a regular basis with their parents like she does? Very much so.

Truth be told I don't like anything about Burrito. He doesn't illuminate any type of interest for me. Unlike Naruto, he doesn't have a beast or Bijuu inside his body to take over and make things exciting. It seems to me like he will be just a regular kid with a knock off Rasengan and SM limitations. Not necessarily a thing I care about anymore considering that Naruto already showcased these techniques before. If he actually learns any Hyuga techniques (which I highly doubt) then maybe I will be a little intrigued in him.

His character is boring and bland and his attitude irritates me. Naruto - when he was a child had a very very good reason for acting spoiled and wanting attention from other people. He had no parents and the Leaf practically hated his ass. They treated him like dirt and acted like he was some alien or monster. Not to mention he only had a couple of friends to talk to that would actually treat him nice.

Burrito is tarnishing what Naruto was trying to stand for when he was a kid and it makes me dislike him even more. I honestly don't care if his father is too busy and hardly ever spends any time with him. Compared to what Naruto went through, his life is a bed of walking flowers so I honestly have no sympathy for this kid.

On top of all that I don't like his character design.

which is why i hold no regards or anything else to him because i know nothing of him. i cant compare him to any other character because even inojoin and shikidai are boring compared to chou chou cause of the lack of showtime.

This is an honest response so far and I agree. I don't think he hates his father, rather he dislikes he can't spend time with him, but I haven't really see him complain about it much like the other children. He just acts out through pranks to get his attention, and to spend time with him.

But yeah the moral reason for this manga seems to be Kishimoto reaching out to his own children on the aspect of him not being there for them all the time. So hopefully the lesson learned between Sarada/Boruto actually hits home, rather than the opposite.

The only thing that makes Bolt a better character than Naruto is his Swag, everything else about him is lame in fact even worse when it comes to Daddy issues. Bolt have his friends, and his family even siblings to back him up in fact he got along with everyone except Naruto because his daddy didn't spend enough time with him thus making him feel "Lonely"

Bolt as a character is so unoriginal , he's acting such a spoil brat makes him a Bland and uninteresting Character and his design looks like another Naruto 2.0. Him being prodigy won't change anything when Naruto himself was also a genius as well as Minato. Bolt doesn't have similar genius trait as Sasuke.

1. Part 1 Naruto was so much better as a character. Naruto as a child simply craved the respect and acknowledgement that every human being deserves, since he was wrongfully denied basic respect for an event that he had no control over or knowledge about! Furthermore, Naruto had no friends or family to support him. Nevertheless, Naruto was willing to persevere and earn that respect. There is nothing wrong with that. It is actually admirable!

Boruto on the other hand is just a stupid brat who gets mad every 5 seconds because he can't seem to grasp the fact that his dad has a job and can't spend every waking moment playing hide and seek with him! To make matters worse, from chapter 700 to now, that is literally all we have seen of Boruto's character! Do we even know of a single hobby or aspect of Boruto outside of "Boo hoo, I hate my dad because he's too busy!"? One might say that pranks are a hobby of his, but that is not the case since all of the pranks and antics we have seen Boruto do were to just get Naruto's attention. He's such a cry baby "Wah wah, I want my daddy!".

It also doesn't help when so many other characters have had so much better reasons to complain, yet they were still better than Boruto:

1. Naruto (explained above)
2. Sasuke (loses his entire family at the hands of his brother no less, isn't told a thing about why this happened)
3. Gaara (father tries to kill him multiple times, uncle tries to kill him, no mother, siblings hate him for reasons he couldn't control, villagers hate him for reasons he couldn't control)
4. Kakashi (father commits suicide, loses Obito tragically (Obito survived but Kakashi didn't know that), loses Rin and has to also experience the guilt of killing Rin himself despite the fact that Rin chose to die, loses Minato)
5. Madara (loses all 4 brothers in war and presumably his parents at some point, Uchiha clan turns against him)
6. Hagoromo (his mother fuses with a tree and turns into a monster to try and kill him and take his chakara, has to seal his mother away, his elder son starts a centuries long war with his younger son)

The list goes on and on. Yet what is Boruto's problem:
"Daddy won't play with me 24/7"

I like him because his name is the same as the last name of Usain Bolt. So far, I'm glad he's been living up to his name by being very evanescent in the Gaiden series. In other words, he hasn't received much panel time and comes and goes quickly. Good for him, because from the little I have seen, he's a massive bore.
